Puthu Velicham
Your new home wakes with the first light: Paati lights the first lamp at the gate under your family's name, the kolam's ring of lamps catches, Amma's right foot crosses the threshold with your invitation, the cow and calf lead the family into the new hall where your muhurtham shines on the wall, and at noon the family welcomes your guests to the house.
